My One-Day Gozo & Comino Itinerary (with a public transport)
- 7 am: take the Gozo channel ferry from Cirkewwa to Mġarr in Gozo (you can check the ferry schedule here). The ferry takes approx. 25 minutes. After arrival take the bus to Victoria.
- 8 am: visit the It-Tokk market in Victoria (at the bottom of the Citadel) & the Citadel. Grab a morning coffee on the go or a quick snack.
- 10 am: take the bus 308 with destination Ghasri and visit the Ta Pinu Basilica (it will take you about 15 minutes to get there). Spend some time there and then take a short 15-minute walk to Ixtabi bus station, where you change for the 311 bus to Dwejra.
- 11:30 am: take the bus to Dwejra (the ride takes only 10 minutes) and spend one hour in Dwejra Bay. This is certainly one of the gems in Gozo. The coastal formations are dramatic and the sea views are spectacular. Don’t forget to visit the Dwejra Inland Sea.

March 30, 2024We did a hop-on-hop-off tour of Gozo and we absolutely did not see all we wanted to see. I agree that one day is really not enough to see Gozo and Comino. Good to know the local bus service can get you to many spots. We might actually want to stay on Gozo to explore at our own pace. And an excursion to Comino would be great for snorkelling or scuba diving. Definitely would warrant a longer visit.
